Lemay Child and Family Center is excited to announce additional funding for the Outdoor Learning Center.

Lemay Child and Family Center is excited to announce additional funding for the Outdoor Learning Center.  The CarMax Foundation has awarded Lemay Child and Family a $10,000 grant to assist in completion of the Outdoor Learning Center. The Outdoor Learning Center will be completed over the next 90 days. The completed project will include a bike path that will allow children to expand their gross motor skill development, a court area where children can play basketball, four square, hopscotch and other court games and also  a dedicated infant toddler area with pour in place surfacing and equipment for our youngest children ages 6 weeks through 3 years old.
The entire project will have a nature focus and will  include multiple garden areas, sensory boxes for all age groups and a water exploration area. The Center’s programs teach children and families the importance and benefits of outdoor physical activity and nutritious foods.
